Fuentes Put in Cooler, Hitless Against New York Friday, May 16th , 1975 Rafael Fuentes went 0-for-3 at Knickerbocker Stadium to break his consecutive-game hitting streak at 23 games. The 28-year-old Chicago second baseman failed to get a hit in the 4-1 Traders victory over the New York Knickerbockers at Knickerbocker Stadium. Fuentes did not make himself available to reporters after the game. "I think Rafael is a little upset," Chicago manager Larry Link said. "He'll get over it." In his season totals, Fuentes has no home runs, .358 BA, .432 OBP, 19 RBIs and 25 runs scored. He has played in 34 games. |
