NBL Player of the Week Selected Monday, May 19th , 1975 What's in a number? In baseball, just about everything. The numbers that San Diego's Freddie Boone put up last week were the envy of the league, as Boone came away with National Baseball League Player of the Week honors. He belted out 13 hits in 21 at-bats, 1 home run and 4 RBIs last week as he posted his .619 batting average. Thus far this season, Boone has hit .296 with 3 home runs, 18 RBIs and scored 23 times. |
