ABL's Best Player, Hodge of Boston Monday, May 16th , 1977 When it came to hitting the baseball, Zach Hodge was in a class by himself in the American Baseball League this past week. Nobody did it better. The outstanding third baseman for Boston tagged opposing pitchers for a .414 average and was voted the Player of the Week Award. Included in his stats were 12 hits in 29 at-bats, 4 homers, 7 runs scored and 7 RBIs. At the moment, Hodge is hitting .333 with 5 home runs and 13 RBIs.
