Wolverines Owner Dead, Detroit Mourns
Sunday, May 25th , 1975
The people of Detroit and the Detroit Wolverines are in grief today with the death of the team's owner Billy Schuler, who died earlier in the week from illness. Schuler will be memorialized at his funeral tomorrow at a local church. Speculation on the new owner centers on his oldest son. Reliable sources in the Detroit press are reporting that Billy Schuler Jr. has in the inside track on replacing his father in the club's organization. What type of owner will the junior Schuler Jr. be? His managerial style is said to be tolerant. Monetarily Schuler Jr. is reported to be normal.
