Taylor Nabs NBL Weekly Award Monday, May 26th , 1975 Kansas City fans have something to crow about today as Kansas City first baseman Chris Taylor nabbed the National Baseball League Player of the Week Award for his performance over the last seven days. "I know there are times when it's hard to lay off pitches. Everyone goes through stretches when he's too eager to put the ball in play. You know, though, I feel like this past week I was able to get in the right frame of mind and just let things come naturally," said Taylor. He posted a .480 average (12-for-25) this past week with 3 home runs, 10 RBIs, and 7 runs scored. In his 1975 season totals, Taylor has 8 home runs, .294 BA, .359 OBP, 32 RBIs and 28 runs scored. |
