Player of the Week Trophy to McCormick Monday, May 26th , 1975 It was an extraordinary week for Chuck McCormick of the Detroit Wolverines. First he goes on a hot hitting streak, batting .409, then he is voted the Player of the Week in the American Baseball League. Last week McCormick went 9-for-22, racked up 1 home run and 2 RBIs and scored 4 runs. It was a heck of a week for the Detroit center fielder. McCormick is hitting .280 so far this season with 13 RBIs and 20 runs scored. He has 42 hits including 1 home run, 18 walks and .357 OBP. |
