New York 3B Lintner Will Miss 3 Weeks Tuesday, May 27th , 1975 Rick Lintner of the New York Empires was injured in today's game against Toronto and had to be helped off the field by the trainers. The initial diagnosis is back soreness, and he is expected to be out for up to 3 weeks. It happened while Lintner was colliding with a player at a base. "It hurt a lot, to be honest. I just hope it heals soon and I can get back on the field." This season, Lintner is batting .303 with 50 hits, 11 home runs, 27 RBIs, 25 walks, .399 OBP and has scored 29 runs. He has played in 45 games. |
