Sandoval Stops Philadelphia Cold, 4-0
Wednesday, May 28th , 1975
It was not a good day at the plate for the Philadelphia Quakers. They came up empty when it mattered against Brooklyn Bluebirds right-hander Jorge Sandoval, who scattered 5 hits across 9 innings and held the Quakers scoreless.

"We had 5 hits so I know he wasn't completely untouchable, but he was close," Philadelphia manager Jeff Green said later.

Sandoval chalked up 3 strikeouts and 2 walks in the 4-0 Bluebirds win.

His record for the year is 4-5 in 10 starts and Sandoval has a 4.94 ERA.
