Salas Voted May's Rookie Award Sunday, June 1st , 1975 Youngster Daniel Salas emerged as the latest National Baseball League Rookie of the Month today. The young man from Cincinnati deserved the honor, batting .214 with 3 home runs and 13 RBI. Is the month of May a harbinger of things to come or just a fluke? We'll find out someday, but for now, we'll just let Salas enjoy the limelight. Salas is currently hitting at a .224 pace with 4 home runs and 19 RBIs. He has played in 47 games and scored 22 times. |
