Red-Hot Baird Scoops up NBL Award Monday, May 31st , 1976 It was sensational week for Myron Baird of the Cleveland Bobcats. Not only was he the best pitcher in the National Baseball League, he was voted the best player, too. Baird performed at a higher level all week and was voted the NBL Player of the Week.
