Alex Robinson Captures NBL Award Monday, June 7th , 1976 Not every ball that came off Alex Robinson's bat last week was a line drive or a towering shot -- it just seemed that way to the teams that played the Pittsburgh Industrials. For his exploits, Robinson was named this week's National Baseball League Player of the Week award. The Pittsburgh first baseman put up 14 hits in 32 at-bats and 1 home run while hitting .438 with 6 RBIs and 7 runs scored. So far this year, Robinson is hitting .336 with 8 home runs. |
