ABL Names Rookie Star of the Month Wednesday, June 1st , 1977 Ed Nuttall earned May's Rookie of the Month honors in the American Baseball League for last month's performance. The boyish Montreal left fielder might be wet behind the ears, but he's proving that he has what it takes to play at this level. Nuttall hit .316 with 4 home runs, 12 RBIs and 13 runs scored this past month on his way to winning the award. This season, Nuttall is batting .297 with 6 home runs. He has scored 18 runs and driven in 17. |
