Star of the Week Named in ABL Monday, June 2nd , 1975 When it came to hitting the baseball, Richie Lord was in a class by himself in the American Baseball League this past week. Nobody did it better. The outstanding right fielder for Atlanta tagged opposing pitchers for a .433 average and was voted the Player of the Week Award. Included in his stats were 13 hits in 30 at-bats, 3 homers, 10 runs scored and 6 RBIs. Thus far this season in 50 games, Lord is batting .301 with 8 home runs, 28 RBIs and 38 runs scored. He has 59 hits in 196 at-bats. |
