Bilski Fashions Shutout Against Twin Cities
Wednesday, June 4th , 1975
The Twin Cities Northmen were almost helpless in their 14-0 loss to the Houston Drillers and hurler Larry Bilski. Bilski kept the Northmen confused all game, spinning a 3-hit shutout.
"Tip your hat to Bilski," Twin Cities manager Jason Gudim said in a postgame interview. "He kept us off balance all night."
The 26-year-old right-hander had 1 walk and 5 strikeouts in a strong performance.
"It just happened to be one of those games where even when I made mistakes, they either fouled them off or someone would make a fine defensive play," Bilski said. "It was just one of those games that things went my way."
To date this season, Bilski has a record of 7 wins and 2 losses and a 3.53 ERA. He has appeared in 12 games and struck out 71 in 81.2 innings.
