Precourt Put in Cooler, Hitless Against San Diego
Friday, June 6th , 1975
Lady Luck was not on the side of Fran Precourt or his teammates at Union Field.
Everything went the way of the San Diego Captains, who not only came away with the 4-3 victory over Chicago, but also held Precourt hitless in 4 at-bats to put an end to his 33-game hitting streak.
"It was a good run," Precourt said afterward. "It would be much easier to take right now if we had won."
Currently Precourt is batting .314 with 2 home runs and 22 RBIs.
