Foley Scorches Wranglers for 3 HR
Tuesday, September 17th , 1963
Players don't hit three home runs in a game very often and when they do, it is something to celebrate. After today, Dan Foley can celebrate.

The Kansas City Bulls left fielder powered three into the stands at Bluff Park today against the Dallas Wranglers.

"It's rare that you actually try to hit a home run," Foley told reporters after the game. "Most of the time you fail, if you really try to hit one. But today, I was really trying on that last one."

In all, he was 3-for-4 as the Bulls toppled Dallas by a score of 7-0, knocking in 4 runs and scoring 3 times.

"He is blessed with a natural home run swing," Kansas City manager DD Martin said. "He gets the ball up in the air."

Dan Foley hit a solo-shot off Shelby Curry in the 2nd, hit a two-run home run off Shelby Curry in the 4th, struck out in the 6th and hit a solo-shot off Shelby Curry in the 8th.

In 99 games this season Foley is batting .201 with 65 hits and 20 home runs. He has scored 39 runs and driven in 50.
