Houston Drillers center fielder Mark Sisson put on a dazzling display of power at Sam Houston Field against the Chicago Hawks. In the 8-6 Drillers victory, Sisson penned his name into the record books, slamming a trio of home runs in one of baseball's finest single-day efforts.

"He can hit them out anywhere, right, center, left, it doesn't matter," Chicago manager Mike Flaherty said. "He's super strong and stays on the ball so well."

Along with his three home runs, the 28-year-old had 3 hits in 4 at-bats, 5 RBIs and 3 runs scored.

"Life will always throw you curves, just keep fouling them off," Sisson said after the game, when asked about his hitting philosophy. "The right pitch will come, and when it does, be prepared to run the bases. Or trot around them, like I did today."

Mark Sisson hit a solo-shot off Mike Haskett in the 1st, hit a three-run home run off Mike Haskett in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Glenn Bailey in the 5th and struck out in the 7th.

This year, Sisson has hit at a .268 clip with 33 hits, 9 home runs, 30 RBIs and 24 runs scored.
