Super Swinger -- Hinojosa Slams 5 Hits Thursday, June 23rd , 1977 It was a parade of hits for Roberto Hinojosa of the Toronto Hurons at Sam Houston Field. Connecting almost every time he went to the plate, Hinojosa finished the day with a total of 5 hits in 6 at-bats. His strong individual effort propelled the Hurons to a win, 10-2. "Hinojosa was really good and we were really bad," groaned Drillers manager Tom Harrington. "Next time he's that hot, we'll just walk him." Roberto Hinojosa singled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, doubled in the 3rd, flied out in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 7th and doubled in the 9th.
