Charrette Spins 14-0 Shutout Saturday, August 28th , 1965 Al Charrette pitched a strong game at Seton Hill Stadium today, blanking the Baltimore Lords 14-0. Charrette allowed no runs on 3 hits, totaled 6 strikeouts and gave up 3 walks. Chicago manager Mike Flaherty said he could tell immediately it was going to be a good game for Charrette. "Right from the start, you could see how economical he was," Flaherty said. "He threw a lot of strikes." To date this season, Charrette has registered 24 starts, 14-8 won-lost mark, 3.53 ERA, 183.2 IP, 123 strikeouts and 66 walks. Opposing teams have hit .238 against him.
