Kansas City Blanks Denver Behind Carter
Saturday, May 18th , 1974
It was not a good day at the plate for the Denver Burros. They came up empty when it mattered against Kansas City Bulls left-hander Skip Carter, who scattered 5 hits across 9 innings and held the Burros scoreless.
"We had 5 hits so I know he wasn't completely untouchable, but he was close," Denver manager Clark Anderson said later.
Carter chalked up 3 strikeouts and no walks in the 1-0 Bulls win.
In 8 starts this season, Carter has fashioned a 3-3 record and a 2.50 ERA.
