Robinson on the Attack, Player of the Week Monday, July 12th , 1976 Dallas fans have something to crow about today as Dallas third baseman Jamie Robinson nabbed the American Baseball League Player of the Week Award for his performance over the last seven days. "I know there are times when it's hard to lay off pitches. Everyone goes through stretches when he's too eager to put the ball in play. You know, though, I feel like this past week I was able to get in the right frame of mind and just let things come naturally," said Robinson. He posted a .533 average (8-for-15) this past week with 3 home runs, 6 RBIs, and 6 runs scored. This season, Robinson is batting .271 with 9 home runs. He has scored 27 runs and driven in 32. |
