Hat Trick of Home Runs for Plancarte
Tuesday, August 18th , 1964
Los Angeles Pobladores first baseman Ricky Plancarte put on a dazzling display of power today at Seton Hill Stadium against the Baltimore Lords. In the 13-10 Pobladores victory Plancarte penned his name into the record books, slamming a trio of home runs in one of baseball's finest single-day efforts.

"He can hit them out anywhere, right, center, left, it doesn't matter," Baltimore manager Jordan Wells said. "He's super strong and stays on the ball so well."

Along with his three home runs, the 34-year-old had 3 hits in 4 at-bats, 6 RBIs and 3 runs scored.

"Life will always throw you curves, just keep fouling them off," Plancarte said after the game, when asked about his hitting philosophy. "The right pitch will come, and when it does, be prepared to run the bases. Or trot around them, like I did today."

Ricky Plancarte hit a three-run home run off Allen Madsen in the 1st, grounded out in the 3rd, walked in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off Duane Siudzinski in the 6th and hit a solo-shot off Bob Pavey in the 8th.

Plancarte's current batting average stands at .220 and he has chalked up 11 home runs and 28 RBIs.
