St. Louis's Adams Injured, Out of Lineup Wednesday, June 5th , 1974 Baseball can be a contact sport at times. It can exact a harsh toll on a player's body. In a recent game against Milwaukee Dairymen, Explorers first baseman Tom Adams was injured running the bases and is expected to miss 3-4 weeks with a strained muscle in his back. The team did not announce any roster moves today related to this injury. The St. Louis skipper told BNN that personnel decisions would be announced as early as tomorrow. So far this year, Adams is batting .325 with 6 home runs. |
