St. Louis, San Diego Make Trade Monday, February 2nd , 1976 It has been in the rumor mill for several weeks, but today team officials for St. Louis and San Diego confirmed an agreement. The Explorers dealt a 1st round draft pick to the Captains for 27-year old 1B Freddie Boone. San Diego will retain a portion of Boone's remaining contract. Lifetime Boone is batting .287 with 122 doubles, 5 triples, 63 home runs and 333 RBIs in 939 games. |
