ABL's Best Player Named Monday, July 26th , 1976 Not every ball that came off Chuck Bowers's bat last week was a line drive or a towering shot -- it just seemed that way to the teams that played the Boston Terriers. For his exploits, Bowers was named this week's American Baseball League Player of the Week award.
