Scherf Shuts Out Pittsburgh, 7-0

In a remarkable performance, Cleveland Bobcats starter Roger Scherf beat the Pittsburgh Industrials, 7-0, in an impressive 8-hit shutout.
"My arm felt good, mechanics were good and my stuff was working," he said later. "It doesn't get any better than this."
The Bobcats hurler finished with 2 strikeouts and 2 walks. He showed pinpoint control and a sharp fastball.
"It was a rough one for my guys," Pittsburgh manager Vincent Wicker said, following the game. "We weren't at our best and their guy was."
Checking out his stats for the season, Scherf has notched 6 wins and 2 losses in 12 starts. His ERA is 4.62 and he's struck out 38 batters in 78 innings.
