Year Over for Industrials Keough Saturday, July 31st , 1976 The Pittsburgh Industrials were dealt a severe blow when Don Keough was hurt colliding with a player at a base recently in a game against the Cincinnati Packers. After the game, the team trainer reported Keough might have to spend a lengthy time on the injured list. Today doctors confirmed it, ruling the 35-year-old left fielder out for the rest of the season with a torn back muscle. They indicated it would take Keough at least 4 months to heal. This season, Keough is batting .302 with 24 home runs. He has scored 65 runs and driven in 83. |
