Houston First Baseman Hurt
Friday, August 6th , 1976
Mike Lockhart of the Houston Drillers was injured in today's game against Seattle and had to be helped off the field by the trainers. The initial diagnosis is a strained abdominal muscle, and he is expected to be out for up to 4-5 weeks. It happened while Lockhart was running the bases. "It hurt a lot, to be honest. I just hope it heals soon and I can get back on the field."

This season, Lockhart is batting .313 with 14 home runs.
