Crawford Silences Los Angeles, 7-0
Sunday, August 8th , 1976
Chicago Traders starter Skip Crawford really did a number on the Los Angeles Blockbusters, shutting them out, 7-0, on 6 hits in a complete game victory. He issued 4 walks and had 4 strikeouts.
"We didn't have good at-bats," said Los Angeles manager John Trausch. "I don't make excuses, but when we were playing the game, our energy didn't show. That comes from either extremely good pitching or extremely lousy hitting and seeing as our team has a bunch of good hitters, I have to tip my cap to Crawford."
Currently Crawford has a record of 11-14 with 112 strikeouts and 67 walks in 221.2 innings and a 2.80 ERA.
