Player of the Week Trophy to Taylor
Monday, August 9th , 1976
Not every ball that came off Chris Taylor's bat last week was a line drive or a towering shot -- it just seemed that way to the teams that played the Kansas City Bulls. For his exploits, Taylor was named this week's National Baseball League Player of the Week award.
The Kansas City first baseman put up 13 hits in 23 at-bats and 2 home runs while hitting .565 with 6 RBIs and 5 runs scored.
This season, Taylor is batting .353 with 73 RBIs, 79 runs scored and 23 home runs.
