Super Month Nets Hickey #1 Batter Prize in ABL Monday, July 1st , 1974 Roger Hickey, the New York center fielder, certainly made a name for himself this past month. He banged out a .402 batting average with 45 hits, 4 home runs, 15 RBIs and scored 20 times. That kind of hitting earned him the American Baseball League Batter of the Month honors for June. This year, Hickey is hitting .292 with 8 home runs and 38 RBIs in 74 games played. He also boasts an OBP of .340 with 22 walks and 39 runs scored. |
