Pobladores Get Zilch in 1-0 Loss to Northmen, Purter Sunday, August 7th , 1966 Willie Purter handcuffed the Los Angeles Pobladores at San Vicente Park today, coming away with a 6-hit, complete game shutout. "I had everything working for me out there," the Twin Cities Northmen right-hander said later. "I used every one of my pitches, hit both sides of the plate really well and felt like I could do whatever I wanted." With his stuff working, Purter had little trouble with the Pobladores and led the Northmen to victory, 1-0. He recorded 6 strikeouts and 1 walk in an impressive performance.
