San Francisco Shuts Out Chicago Behind Stambaugh, 4-0

Goose eggs were the order of the day for the Chicago Hawks as starter Tim Stambaugh shut them out, 4-0, at Hyde Park Stadium. The San Francisco pitcher struck out 3 and walked 0 while allowing 5 hits.
"Stambaugh was good but he wasn't flawless," Chicago manager Mike Flaherty said. "We had a few opportunities to make something happen and we didn't do it. Not to take anything away from San Francisco, but this is on us."
