Allen Tosses 5-0 Shutout Against Philadelphia Saturday, September 26th , 1964 Dave Allen shut down the Philadelphia Quakers today, blanking them 5-0 on 4 hits, ringing up 8 strikeouts and allowing 4 walks. The Washington Rough Riders pitcher appeared to get stronger as the game went on. "I don't know if I was getting any stronger," Allen said after the game.
