Los Angeles Comes up Empty Against Sosa Sunday, August 29th , 1976 It wasn't easy but Alfonso Sosa made it look that way. Sosa silenced the Los Angeles Pobladores, 2-0, in a Toronto Hurons triumph at Dominion Field. Despite the appearance of dominance, Sosa said that he felt like he was struggling all game. He gave up 3 walks and 4 hits. "It didn't feel quite right today, but I made the decision to bear down and work through it," he said. "I made a few mistakes but it goes to show what you can do with grit and not much else." In 11 starts this season, Sosa has recorded a 7-5 record and a 2.82 ERA.
