National Baseball League Selects August's Best Batter Wednesday, September 1st , 1976 Chris Taylor, the Kansas City first baseman, certainly made a name for himself this past month. He banged out a .371 batting average with 36 hits, 9 home runs, 21 RBIs and scored 19 times. That kind of hitting earned him the National Baseball League Batter of the Month honors for August. Taylor is currently hitting at a .347 pace with 30 home runs, 88 RBIs and has scored 92 times. |
