Gilmore Beguiles Houston Thursday, July 18th , 1974 Barry Gilmore kept the Houston Drillers hitters from doing much damage at Bluff Park. Houston could only muster 5 hits and draw 2 walks against the right-handed Gilmore, who controlled them throughout the game. Dallas won the contest, 5-0. Gilmore added 7 strikeouts in his complete-game effort. "I don't know if I was on or if they were off today," Gilmore told reporters after the shutout win.
