Adams's Condition Worse, Suffers Another Setback Friday, September 3rd , 1976 Tom Adams, first baseman for the Baltimore Lords, was making great progress in healing knee tendinitis according to a team spokesman, but suffered a setback yesterday. "Tom was doing great in his rehab until he overdid it in a recent workout. Now doctors say it will be at least 4-5 weeks before he will be able to rejoin the club." This season, Adams has posted a batting average of .321 with 80 hits in 249 at-bats, 6 home runs and 30 RBIs. He has also scored 32 runs, walked 20 times and compiled a .371 OBP. |
