Terriers Out of Time, Out of Playoffs Saturday, September 4th , 1976 After a tough year, the Boston Terriers have been the butt of jokes around many water coolers in the Boston area. There will be some new fodder for jaded fans to discuss now -- the club was officially eliminated from playoff contention today. This is the club's 8th playoff miss in a row. They last appeared in the postseason in 1968. In total, the Terriers have missed the playoffs 92 times in their 101-year history. In the last 10 seasons, the Terriers have missed the playoffs 8 times. Boston has won the World Series 4 times in their history. |
