Twin Cities Shuts Out Dallas Behind Glanden, 5-0
Thursday, July 25th , 1974
The Dallas Wranglers were almost helpless in their 5-0 loss to the Twin Cities Northmen and hurler Kim Glanden. Glanden kept the Wranglers confused all game, spinning a 4-hit shutout.
"Tip your hat to Glanden," Dallas manager William Albrecht said in a postgame interview. "He kept us off balance all night."
The 29-year-old right-hander had 3 walks and 2 strikeouts in a strong performance.
"It just happened to be one of those games where even when I made mistakes, they either fouled them off or someone would make a fine defensive play," Glanden said. "It was just one of those games that things went my way."
This year, Glanden has posted a 9-6 mark in 20 starts and has a 2.39 ERA.
