Un-four-gettable: Underwood Hits for Cycle Saturday, July 27th , 1974 Bob Underwood hit for the cycle and paced the New York Knickerbockers to a win, 9-2, against the Brooklyn Bluebirds at Knickerbocker Stadium. The Knickerbockers right fielder led the way for his club with 4 hits in 5 at-bats -- 1 single, 1 double, 1 triple and 1 home run -- along with 2 RBI and 3 runs. "Now that I know what Bob is capable of, I'm going to expect it more often," New York manager Timothy Widholm joked with reporters after the game. Bob Underwood tripled in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Dave Teckenbrock in the 3rd, flied out in the 5th, doubled in the 7th and hit an RBI single in the 8th.
