NBL #1 Pitcher in July is St. Louis's Gonzalez Thursday, August 1st , 1974 The top pitcher this past month in the National Baseball League was Jorge Gonzalez of the St. Louis Explorers. He really bewildered league hitters, finishing July with an excellent 5-0 record and 0.58 ERA. The Explorers hurler made 6 starts and surrendered 24 hits in 46.1 innings. He struck out 21 and walked 12. In 16 starts this season, Gonzalez has notched a 6-2 record and a 2.49 ERA. |
