Sutter Honored by American Baseball League Thursday, August 1st , 1974 Mack Sutter won the Rookie of the Month Award in the American Baseball League today. After posting 1 win and 1 loss in 6 starts during July, the Boston Terriers starter seemed an obvious choice for the honor. He struck out 18 and walked 18 in 41.1 innings and appears to be settling in nicely in the league. If this is any indication of his future success, fans of the Terriers are in for a treat for several years to come. This year, Sutter has worked 129.1 innings with 61 strikeouts en route to a 5-8 record and 3.83 ERA. |
