Breaking MLB News: Draft Pool Revealed Saturday, February 14th , 1976 Scouts have begun to salivate. The list of players for the first-year player draft has been released by the league office and speculation is already beginning about who will end up as the first pick. The list has been posted under the transaction section of the BNN site and will be there for the next 30 days leading up to draft day. Teams now have a chance to scout the draft pool 200 days before the draft is held. The early favorites to be high picks are the following: 1. Fred Olshove, 18 year-old 2B out of high-school. 2. Brian Gatlin, 17 year-old RHP out of high-school. 3. Ivan Robles, 21 year-old CF out of college. 4. Paul Knipper, 18 year-old 1B out of high-school. 5. Ken Reichardt, 20 year-old RF out of college. 6. Jose Gamboa, 17 year-old SS out of high-school. 7. Charlie Goodson, 20 year-old 2B out of college. 8. Guillermo Zavala, 19 year-old 2B out of college. 9. Ken Brown, 19 year-old RHP out of college. 10. Victor Dones, 22 year-old CF out of college.
