No Playoff Berth Coming for Montreal Saturday, September 18th , 1976 Opinions were split on the Montreal Habitants this season, with some figuring they were true World Series contenders and others thinking they would fade away. The latter group has been proven correct, as the club is now mathematically eliminated from postseason contention. This is the club's 4th playoff miss in a row.
