Patrick Gives Twin Cities Goose Eggs
Wednesday, August 7th , 1974
Jerry Patrick kept the Twin Cities Northmen hitters from doing much damage at Mission Field.
Twin Cities could only muster 3 hits and draw 1 walk against the right-handed Patrick, who controlled them throughout the game. San Francisco won the contest, 2-0. Patrick added 5 strikeouts in his complete-game effort.
"I don't know if I was on or if they were off today," Patrick told reporters after the shutout win. "But whatever it was, I hope it happens again next time."
In 23 starts this season, Patrick has chalked up a 10-7 record and a 2.90 ERA.
