The club stayed in the playoff picture for some time, but they were officially eliminated from contention today. The Bluebirds have made the playoffs 15 times in their 94 years as a Major League Baseball franchise. This playoff miss is the club's 8th in a row, with their last postseason appearance coming in 1968. In the last 10 seasons, the Bluebirds have only made the playoffs once.
