Playoff Bound: San Francisco Secures Wild Card Thursday, September 23rd , 1976 The San Francisco Seagulls have secured a berth in the Major League Baseball playoffs. The club officially claimed a wild card position today, on the strength of their 91-67 record. "Obviously we would have liked to have won the American Baseball League Western Division, but we're still proud of our accomplishment," said starting pitcher Jerry Patrick. The club will be vying for their franchise's 3rd championship when the playoffs get underway. |
