Richie Kingery Hurt, Out for Year Tuesday, June 28th , 1977 Richie Kingery has to call it a season. The Washington Eagles reliever sustained a season-ending injury against the Brooklyn Bluebirds and will not play again this year according to club doctors. Kingery was injured while throwing a pitch. His doctors diagnosed it as a ruptured disc and stated that he would not be able to play for 5 months. Kingery has nailed down 2 saves for the year. He has also totaled 28 strikeouts and 9 walks in 39 innings while registering a 4.15 ERA and a 3-2 won-lost record. |
