Molina Holds Bulls Scoreless
Friday, August 18th , 1967
Pedro Molina bent a little, but he didn't break against the Kansas City Bulls. The San Diego Captains pitcher hurled a 2-hit 2-0 shutout in a fine performance, surrendering no walks and tallying 11 strikeouts.
"Pedro is good at getting out of jams," Captains manager Joe Mack told reporters after the game. "He's almost more effective when he gets guys on base or gets behind in the count, because he uses your aggressiveness against you."
In 24 starts this year Molina has crafted a 4-11 record and a 2.78 ERA.
