Barron Stops San Francisco Cold, 1-0 Thursday, July 21st , 1977 Goose eggs were the order of the day for the San Francisco Seagulls as starter Rich Barron shut them out, 1-0, at Mission Field. The Montreal pitcher struck out 5 and walked 2 while allowing 2 hits. "Barron was good but he wasn't flawless," San Francisco manager Al Borie said. "We had a few opportunities to make something happen and we didn't do it. Not to take anything away from Montreal, but this is on us."
